Nurí means my light or my fire in Hebrew, which is appropriate because of my strong personality and close relationship to my family. I'm the youngest of 4 children: 3 boys, one girl, and many many many animals. I was born in late-August of 1980 -- a virgo, a monkey, and a Jew (I don't think there's a astrological sign in the Jewish calendar) and am a graduate from Miami University of Ohio in Oxford, Ohio. I hold a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Digital Graphic Design & Spanish Philology and Culture. It happened in 2003 on a very nice day in May ... I had three graduation ceremonies too! Interesting, eh? I thought so. My dad got all teary-eyed and everything. I think my mom still has the video of one of the ceremonies somewhere. Although I usually try to keep my website updated very often with new work and updates, I sometimes get so overwhelmed with work, projects, life (or lack thereof) that I leave my site quiet for months at a time. Then it's time for a complete overhaul and a new face! You may notice that my website often says a version number on it. Right now you're experiencing version 6.0.3! I like Chinese food, folk music, comfortable clothing, and computers. I could almost be called a nerd, really. I treat my iMac, like many nerds, as a person. His name is The Doctor, and he has an older PC sister named Nebari. I don't watch that much television, but I do like the SciFi, (hence my computers' names) Comedy, and Cartoon channels. Now I'm living in Chicago, IL -- it took me long enough to do it. Now I'm closer to my parents, my brothers and a several of my college friends. I moved from Ohio to Modesto, CA to Chicago. I'm a graphic designer for hire. An Adobe Flash version of my portfolio is available at left. |
